![]() ![]() ![]() Even some fans who really, really wanted Laurence Basse to win agreed with the judges that her finale collection had no "wow" moments or her usual strong signatures. Granted, there are many Erin fans out there - people who loved her the whole season, or who just thought her finale collection was superior to the other four contenders. The judges loved it, and it was very much Erin's aesthetic, but to many fans it was just. Lifetime's 2016 season was probably decided somewhere in the first three weeks - when Erin Robertson won two challenges and was at the top of a third - but many fans are still upset that she won, especially since that banana design was her showcase finale look. Ugh, I love look #11 a lot."Project Runway" Season 15 continued the 2016 tradition of surprising people with things they should've seen coming. The little bit of print at the neck draws attention there in a lovely way. The way the thin lines are angled look fantastic. The darker print at the waist is super flattering. The print works perfectly to enhance the shape of the shirt. It's interesting because he did an absolutely perfect job with the print on #11. Like on #8, if he had manipulated the photo so the tree print landed where cup seam lines would be, it might be more flattering on the body, making the bust look nicer, as opposed to visually minimizing and kinda "squishing" the model's bust. There are ways to make both of these placements work, but he just didn't nail it on these pieces. The Joshua Tree print (which I actually love) is placed oddly on both dresses. I feel the Eiffel Tower (or whatever the print is-I forgot!) pants have the tower awkwardly placed. When designers make these large scale, symmetrical prints, they seem to fall in love with the print and forget how it is going to be to for the woman to wear it. I really liked a lot of his pieces, but he did fall into an issue I've seen other designers have. Anyway, when it comes to Viktor I kind of think he should’ve won but I know he wasn’t going to but I’m not as strong of the opinion that another contestant was “robbed” as with Kelly or someone I’ll be posting later. For Viktor the craftsmanship is definitely there and I love that but I feel like his collection was all over the place I also feel like there was no stopping Anya and I feel like it was kind of Heidi‘s revenge that Anya won because she was the anti-Gretchen and Heidi clearly did not want Gretchen to win (Gretchen‘s collections next of course and I’m a little scared to post it because people love to defend Gretchen) but I don’t think her collections are strong. In earlier seasons they were given a lot more time and when you choked back then it was less understandable (I guess that’s the word) because you have more time and you definitely had more time to edit and stuff but also it seems that like a lot of these designers have a mindset for a challenge and then when they’re left on their own devices they really don’t know what to do because when you don’t have the parameters of a challenge it shows you who really can make it on their own. So we’re going down the line of ones I posted so far I feel like a lot of people choke in the finale.
